Surprisingly...Padang

Surrounded by the most attractive views, aromas, sensational ambients, and sounds of nature, it makes it easier for you to leave all of the stresses of that typical modern lifestyle behind.

The natural beauty of Sumetera's culture will amaze you. One such as Mentawai Island (to name a few) has surfers from around the world eager to experience the fabulous waves! Try to interact with the local native's busy nightlife at Jembatan Siti Nurbaya, which is one of the hot-spots in Padang. Also, the famous Pantai Air Manis will take you back to the famous legendary-myth Malin Kundang.

Ok ok!

First we'll talk about the beach. Oh yes, Mentawai Island provides you with the exquisite waves of them all (in Indonesia). If the blue sea, lush-green bushes and astonishing picturesque of sunsets (or sunrises-if you must-) takes all of you completely out of the world (which is a good thing)....then this is YOUR destination. Plus, as it hasn't been commercialized too much, it is the perfect place for you, who loves to savor those sanctuary moments :). This place is truly to die for!!

Jembatan Siti Nurbaya, stresses how lively the community of Padang is. There are a lot of food stalls around with many choices of food. Start from the delicacy that Padang has to offer to the simple finger food that anyone could have. It is the place where you and your friends can enjoy a simple hot tea accompanied by the newest gossips around town. Caution to beginner-travelers it is strongly advice to bring your own medicines. The ones that you usually take back in your home town. People who are not used with spices and authentic ingredients that is in the food there, might caught diarrhea or digestion problem (and you don't want that to ruined your whole trip).

Pantai Air Manis attracts a lot of the tourist and Padang community itself. This is because the legendary Malin Kundang story. To cut the story short, is about a son that who treat his mom badly (really bad-rude-) and got punish by God. He was turned into a stone. And yes, you guessed it, the stone is in Pantai Air Manis. The stone looks like a boy that is kneeling. It takes you to your inner child-self, be a part of the legend.

So I guess those places are fantabulous enough for giving you the reason to go to Padang. It sure makes me interested to come. I might plan my next trip to Padang, especially to Mentawai Island. It would be lovely to take your closest friends with you and chill with your pair of comfy sandals. Can’t wait to hear from you guys who decided to go there and experience all of it, or more.

stay fabulous!
